At the Laogai Research Freedom, we are grateful for this great country that has provided a refuge to so many Chinese lovers of freedom. America’s personal and civil liberty and sense of justice allows us to do our important work, and more importantly, to live our lives in freedom of occupation and freedom of conscience, unlike the 3-5 million prisoner slaves in the Laogai.
